I began this painting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and completed it in Carmel Valley, California, on June 30, 2025.

The painting travelled with me in my suitcase from Florida to San Diego. Rather than paying to ship it, I brought it with me and continued working on it while I was house sitting and caring for birds in Carmel Valley.

It was commissioned by a client who had experienced significant financial breakthroughs. I chose a retro inspired style while incorporating the bold colours and expressive features that have become part of my own artistic voice.

As I painted, I realized this piece was about more than money. It was about value.
