I painted her in Carmel Valley, California, on June 12, 2025, during a season when I was rediscovering what mattered most.

After taking a break from painting, I realized how much I missed creating. Spending time alone gave me space to reflect, reconnect with myself, and awaken the creativity that had been quietly waiting within me.

Her blonde hair, bright pinks, and teals are my favourite colours. They are a reflection of me and the joy I felt during that chapter of my life in San Diego. She is vibrant, hopeful, and full of possibility.
Sometimes we need to step away before we can truly appreciate what brings us alive. There is nothing wrong with taking a break. What matters is finding your way back.

This painting is a reminder to awaken your spirit, awaken your creativity, and awaken to what is truly important. Bring the light back into your life. It has been there all along, simply waiting for you to notice it.
